Green 'Get Right' Smoothie

Ever feel like you are not getting enough greens??  Try this smoothie to boost your veggie count for the day.

2 Handfuls of SPINACH
2 Handfuls of KALE
1 BELL PEPPER (you can use any color pepper depending on what you like (RED, YELLOW, GREEN, ORANGE))
1 HEAD OF ROMAINE LETTUCE (This is optional, you are already getting a TON of greens in this drink, but if you know you will be eating some 'not so healthy' foods for the rest of your day go ahead and throw this one in)
1 APPLE
1 PEACH (This will take some of the 'greenie taste' out of the smoothie)
3 CUPS POMEGRANATE JUICE
2 CUPS WATER

Throw it all in the blender and blend away.

Pour into a glass with a few cubes of ice.

Something new..

I thought I would start another section to my site that focuses on 'health'.

Over the last 5 months I have totally changed my eating and work out habits.

I have gone from eating everything under the sun (meat, processed foods, fast food, etc) to eating mostly whole food (fruits and veggies).  There are occasions when I eat meat and fast food (gasp).  During my transformation I have lost 30 pounds going from 210 to 180 the last I checked.

I will be using this blog to share things like:
  • Eating Habits
  • Workout Habits
  • Interesting "Health" discussions I have had with folks after sharing my 'new' eating habits with.
  • Book and cookbook recommendations
